How to care for your silk underwear

Care instructions for Miranda Lingerie

I have been asked several times how to care for silk underwear. The right care will keep them beautiful for a long time. I have included a few tips below.

Washing

Wash all your lingerie by hand, especially bras. This will keep the fabric supple and the colours glowing. Washing machines do not treat the silk fibres gently enough! Always use a mild detergent, preferably one made for silk, and never detergent that contains bleach.

Drying

After washing your lingerie, squeeze the excess water out. The best way to do this is by wrapping them in a clean towel and squeezing tight. Hang your bras and panties to dry in the shade. Never wring silk fabric dry, as wet silk fibres are fragile!

Use

The best way to make your beautiful silk lingerie last is by using it, believe it or not! The same way as pearls, silk needs the moisture from your skin to stay shiny and supple. Enjoy your new lingerie and wear it often!
